Throne room
There is a throne room, in everyone of our hearts. Within the heart of every man. Who sits upon this throne determines the direction of our lives; here and for eternity.
This throne room can only seat one king.
For we can only serve one master. A divided kingdom cannot stand.
—“In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the King most high “Because your heart is proud, and you have said, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas,’ yet you are but a man, and no king, though you make your heart like the heart of a king- you are indeed wiser than the great prophet, no secret is hidden from you; by your wisdom and your understanding you have made wealth for yourself, and have gathered gold and silver into your treasuries; by your great wisdom in your trade you have increased your wealth, and your heart has become proud in your wealth— ... “
—Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you as cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. —
There is a throne room in our heart and we must allow the one true King to sit there. No man can serve two masters.
In the heart of a young man named Nieve, there existed this throne room awaiting who would rule. I was getting older and began grasping for the truth: that a kingdom divided within a man cannot endure. Was it really so? I had heard many of the stories as a kid. Were they real?
One night I had a dream and approached the King of Kings. “Your choices will shape your destiny.” He said.
"No secret is hidden from you."
I had just begun to work in the trades as a builder. My first few weeks I met some older wiser tradesmen. They encouraged me. “Boy, the diagrams are meant as a guide only, you can use your creativity and save on materials. Watch what we do. I watched them as they did their work and sought their approval. The next day my work was inspected by my foreman.
“Son, you were top in your class and have done excellent work before. This is shoddy work. Did you not follow the blueprints before you, as instructed?” The boss asked.
“Well…” I stammered. “I listened to those experienced men. They told me to use my creativity.”
“Son, this is why there is a blueprint, it is to be followed, the creativity is with the architect. You are not an architect for that requires further training. Maybe you would like that. Watch who you listen to. They don’t like new guys and felt that their jobs would be threatened if they properly trained someone.” He further added. “These guys work hard , but they only give so much. Their work is scattered and they never give their all to their work. They have been this way for years and won’t change.” He smiled kindly and patted my back. “Take it as a lesson.”
So with a great attitude I got another dream and set out to become something more. Maybe it was architecture.
The King was pleased.
A few months passed and I got quite proficient at my trade. One day I was approached by a man that was inspecting the buildings. “Hey, is this your work? The man said as he approached me.
“Yes it is, how can I help you?” Nieve said.
He took me over to the side and quietly asked if I moonlighted.”
“I’m not familiar with what that means sir.”
“You do fine work, would you consider doing some work on the side?”
“Depends on what it is and for whom.”
At lunch one day my boss had warned me about this guy. He was of questionable character and always had a deal. I decided to follow the bosses suggestion.
I continued my journey and met a group of young children when my boss invited me to come out to an orphanage and help. My heart danced with delight as he shared captivating stories of the one true King. In the innocence of these children, I glimpsed the pure essence of a heart unburdened by pride. The warmth of their laughter and the sparkle in their eyes showed the joy found in helping these kids. The experience inspired me with many ideas and dreams. It was then that I decided I would make something more of myself.
The King watched in approval.
The boss and I would join forces and I would go on to become a famous builder and architect of orphanages around the world.
I was given many dreams and I basked in the Kings approval.
I remembered all of this as an older man. Such a pivotal point in my life. Being forever grateful that I listened to the wise words. I went on to attain many dreams that the King had shown me. Somewhere along the way my name became transformed to Adept.
In this pivotal moment, I realized I had purposely rejected the easy path of indulgence and acknowledged the folly of pride. With a humbled heart I learned to allow the one true King to reign in my heart. This decision became the turning point of my life shaping the journey into a legacy of a heart forever attuned to the wise rule of the eternal King. How about you?

A Day in a Life
One day, I noticed someone in the mirror I no longer recognized. A self-centered pleasure seeker who was only concerned with gratifying one's own desires. I repented of that life, and with the help of GOD, I humbly surrendered my throne to Him. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords is on the Throne now. He has taken over everything as I trust Him and His faithfulness to lead me through this life on a victorious journey onward and upward.
"He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords." Revelation 19:13-16 NLT
GOD bless you all!
